CENTRAL. Admittedly, Scandinavia has not historically been a strong inspiration for restaurants and bars. But FINDS (Finland, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden ­ clever!) really runs with the idea. Four individual spaces flow seamlessly together, all in white and cool shades of blue with a touch of added sparkle to suggest snow and ice. The food menu is brief but surprisingly full of tasty options, and highlights the best of each country (lots of fish, potatoes, mushrooms, cabbage, pickles and berries). A selection of "scapas" (Scandinavian tapas) is served throughout the day as well. After dinner, the focus shifts to the bar and lounge, where an eclectic crowd sips creative cocktails named for famous natives like Greta Garbo, Bjork and Edvard Munch.
