This Park Lane Hotel restaurant serves a variety of international dishes, most of which have a decidedly French lilt. The shellfish soup, for example, is served with vegetables prepared in a wok, and Tasmanian lamb chops are prepared with spinach. WAN CHAI. This cozy basement restaurant, decorated rather simply with mirrors and a few antiques, has the warm feel of home. While Bacchus's menu contains quite a few Greek dishes, diners also are encouraged to sample some of their more eclectic offerings from other Mediterranean countries such as Italy, Turkey, and Spain. The mezze platter here is outstanding, as is the moussaka, which is the perfect dish to enjoy on a weekend night while being serenaded by the evening's live entertainment. TSIM SHA TSUI. This opulent French restaurant is located in the Grand Stanford Hotel. The restaurant offers a fairly comfortable, yet sophisticated adult environment, including a little light piano music. The menu features some of the more popular Continental dishes, including escargots, rack of lamb, and veal. The dinner specials change seasonally, and specials may not be necessarily be French. CENTRAL. This modern-looking D'Aguilar Street restaurant is becoming increasingly popular with locals and those in the know. The environment is warm and comfortable, accented by a few neat murals, and punctuated by soft background music. Furthermore, Benissimo's menu has a wide range of selections and features several excellent veal options. The dessert menu includes a large selection of chocolates and confectionaries, and several good dessert wines. Reservations are suggested. METRO: Central.

ADMIRALTY. This classy French restaurant, located at Pacific Place, has an awesome view of downtown Hong Kong. Most of the ingredients are imported from France, and the dishes are well portioned with some of the finest French food you can imagine. Of course, the best part of the meal is the dessert buffet, which is impossible to pass up. Reservations are required. METRO: Admiralty.
